The Institute of Polymers and Energy Chemistry of Nanchang University was founded by Professor Chen Yiwang. Currently, it has 7 professors and 2 associate professors.In recent years, the institute has cultivated a large number of outstanding young academic backbones and postgraduate students. Its research achievements have won three Second Prizes of Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Award, one Provincial Technological Invention Award and two Provincial Teaching Achievement Second Prizes. The institute has repeatedly obtained funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The young researchers trained here have also won funding from General Programs, Regional Programs and Youth Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China for many times.At present, the institute carries out a series of research focusing on new-type organic solar cells, new-type perovskite solar cells and supercapacitors. In the field of organic solar cell research, it has for the first time realized the transformation from spin-coating to large-area "roll-to-roll" printing by controlling printing shear stress.In the research of perovskite solar cells, the problem of bending resistance and stability of flexible perovskite solar cells has been solved by modification with elastomers or fluorine-containing semiconductor materials. In addition, through the combination of interface engineering and printing technology, it has made a breakthrough in the printing preparation of large-area perovskite modules.In the field of supercapacitors, it has achieved a breakthrough in aqueous supercapacitors with wide voltage window and high energy density, and the related work is gradually moving towards industrialization.
